Lenovo hits the scene with IdeaPad Z and U series notebooks

Lenovo drenches the gadget world with a plethora of offerings in the form of desktops, all-in-ones, consumer laptops and nettop PCs packed with different specifications and trendy designs. The company unveils the IdeaPad Z and U series notebooks namely Z360, Z560 and Z565 as well as U160, U460 and U460s.

The latest Lenovo series is fashioned to suit the needs of consumers who are constantly on the lookout for fun while traveling. The Z series is noted to be an affordable laptop complete with a fashionable chiclet keyboard covered in a modern metallic effect cover panel. It also sports a high-definition 16:9 format widescreen which can be espied with the 13.3 and 15.6-inch models.

The Z series laptops present in the series offer users Dolby Advanced Audio, optional Blu-ray Disc drive and OneKey Theater II for making movies more enjoyable. The IdeaPad Z360 and Z560 include the new 2010 Intel Core processor family and Nvidia GeForce graphics. The IdeaPad Z565 comprises of built-in ATI Mobility Radeon graphics and AMD Phenom II processors.

The IdeaPad U series is ultra portable in nature and includes a long battery life and light designs. With a chic and clear appearance, the notebook bears a textured aluminum top cover for that extra style factor. The 14 inch U460 and U460s measures less than one inch thick and weighs only 3.8 pounds. They have the ability to configure an Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology.

The U460 laptop includes a standard voltage processor while the U460s and U160 provide users low voltage processors. The U160 model weighs 2.9 pounds and 0.9 inches. The complete U series comprises of Bluetooth connectivity, integrated Wi-Fi as well as many user-care features such as Active Protection System, data recovery tools and Ambient Light Sensor.

The IdeaPad Z360, Z560 and Z565 can be acquired by the beginning of next month for a starting price of $649 (approx. Rs.29,319). The IdeaPad U160, U460 and U460s are scheduled to hit the scene by the end of June and are tagged with a starting price of $699 (approx. Rs.31,577).
