Sony brings on-the-move computing with new Vaio P Series

Sony has dished out the new Sony P Series featuring an array of built-in one-touch buttons. The new device will enables one touch access to the web, screen resolution adjustment and so on. The LCD bezel has been integrated with a trackpad and a mobile nav grip has been included for accessing content on the go. The stylish device has been made available in five bright colors namely electric orange, neon green, hot pink, icy white and classic black.

At just 1.4 pounds, the P Series measures about the size of a business envelope and is said to be as thin as a mobile phone. Moreover, users can also get their hands on complete PC features to edit documents, watch online videos, and organize photo. Convenient shortcuts with a single click have been made available. On pressing the WEB button, the browser launches instantly. The ASSIST button takes the user to Sony’s own Vaio Care software, offering easy-to-use program that enables the user to tune-up, maintain, update and troubleshoot the PC.

The resolution button lets one increase or decrease screen resolution while the mobile nav grip lets users surf the web without the need for a mouse or keyboard. The trackpad and left- and right-click buttons have been built into the LCD bezel, bringing a new manner to interact with a PC. The device has been integrated with a high-resolution, 1600 x 768, LED backlit 8-inch ultra-wide display (diagonal). Hence, viewing entire spreadsheets, full web pages, and more is easier.

The sensor can recognize when Vaio P Series is turned on its side and automatically flips the screen for easier reading of documents or web pages in portrait mode. It can be complemented with a choice of stylish accessories like carrying cases and wireless mice.

The Sony P series is available for pre-sale at sony.com/pr/pseries and through select retailers across the US for a price of $800 (approx Rs. 35,846).
