LG Ally coming into the racks on May 20

A la mode users can get something truly snazzy in their kitty. Verizon Wireless and LG recently announced that the LG Ally will be up for grabs beginning May 20. The very first Android device from LG’s roster of eye-popping pieces, the Ally snoozes in as an ideal fusion of futuristic, stylish design and 3G Android power.

Sketched out for users looking to strike a perfect balance between their personal and professional lives, the handset sports a large 3.2-inch tempered glass touchscreen featuring touch vibration for tactile feedback. Engraved in an ergonomic silver-and-black outer case, it ensures a great user experience with a touch of sophistication.

The Ally equips a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard with simultaneous touchscreen capabilities, microSD slot for up to 16GB of memory, one-touch speaker phone and speaker-independent voice commands. For those in love with music, it includes a built-in MP3 and WMA music player with music library, repeat and shuffle features, stereo sound via headset, and Bluetooth.

Brimmed over with cool attributes, the smartphone offers five customizable home screens with shortcuts to text messages, e-mails, apps, favorite social networking sites and widgets. Apart from this, its luminous sensor allows users to adjust the LCD backlight brightness depending on light conditions. The offering embraces S-GPS support for enhanced location accuracy in addition to turn-by-turn directions from Google Maps.

Besides, photography enthusiasts can cotton to Ally’s impressive 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera and camcorder with flash. The integrated camera offers five different camera resolutions and three different video resolutions, zoom up to 4.0 times, macro mode for detailed pictures, Panorama for three guided sequential shots, and Image editor with zoom, rotate, resize, crop, added frames and stamps. Further, those who like to be socially switched on can access updates on Twitter, MySpace and Facebook.

The LG Ally will be available in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on May 20. It will make users fork out $99.99 (approx Rs. 4,505) after a $100 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement.
